What stays on your phone
Dream recordings, transcripts, the sleep records read from Apple Health and every interpretation are stored on the device and, if you enable backup, in your own iCloud Drive. We have no access to either. Interpretation always runs on the phone — there is no cloud analysis, and nothing you record is ever uploaded.
Interpretation
Readings are produced by an AI model running on your device — the system model, or one you download. The text of your dream is never sent to us or to any third party, we never see the reading, and your dreams train nothing. Each reading is labelled as AI-generated, in the app and in exported files.
Apple Health
Tierce requests read-only access to sleep analysis — one category, nothing else — after you save your first alarm. It never writes to Health, and the app works — less precisely — if you decline.
What leaves the phone
Never a dream — and a short list of technical requests: the model download you ask for, a daily check of a static model-catalogue file, two coordinates rounded to about 11 km for the night’s weather — with your permission, and only then — and the version check and push registration through Google. Two more things can leave, and only if you say yes: crash reports scrubbed of anything resembling content, and a few anonymous counters. We ask once, at the end of setup; the switch starts off, and a phone that never turns it on sends neither. No ads, no cross-app tracking, no advertising profile.
What we do collect
Your email address, if you subscribe to the letter, used only to send it. If you agree: the technical crash reports above, and counters that add 1 to a number — what people came for, how far they got through setup, whether a reading was any good. They count a population, never a person: no identifier travels with them, and nothing you do in the app afterwards is measured at all. Whether a purchase is active, validated through RevenueCat under a random identifier — payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card. Optional website analytics, described in the cookie policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of anything we hold, and you may object to processing or ask for it to be restricted. Write to privacy@tierce.app and we answer within thirty days. Deleting the app removes the on-device archive; deleting the iCloud backup removes the copy there.
Children
Tierce is not intended for anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
